Delivery after payment
The Shop creates an order only after Stripe reports the payment as paid. It then records an entitlement for each pattern on the order. The entitlement points at the pattern version sold on that order.
The Shop then tries to email the checkout address a link to that order. The message is sent through Resend from patterns@nightskystitch.com when that sending address is configured. The PDF is not attached to the email. The Shop streams the file after checking the link. The file is not published at a public address.
If that email fails, the order and the entitlement stay in place. The Shop does not automatically retry the failed email. Use recovery, or email help@nightskystitch.com with the checkout email. The support message form at /support does not send or store what you type.
Links
A purchase link expires 72 hours after the Shop creates it. A recovery link expires 24 hours after the Shop creates it. Expiry of a link does not, by itself, cancel the entitlement.
Requesting a recovery link revokes earlier links for that checkout email, including an unused purchase link. Do not forward a link. A link that is expired, revoked, or not tied to an active entitlement will not download the file.
Recovery
Recovery asks for the email address used at Stripe Checkout. The recovery form sends that address to the Shop only when the page is configured to call the Shop. If it is not configured to call the Shop, the form does not send email.
When the Shop accepts the request, it answers with the same sentence whether or not that email has an active entitlement: if eligible purchases are associated with that email, an access link has been sent. The Shop sends the link only when that email has an active entitlement and email sending is configured. Requests are rate-limited. The answer does not confirm that an order exists.
Pattern versions
You are entitled to the pattern version recorded on the order. Publishing a later version of the listing does not replace that entitlement and does not send you an email. The Shop does not promise a corrected or updated file.
Full refunds
A refund is a decision the Shop makes. This page does not promise that every request will be refunded. All sales are otherwise considered final. To ask, email help@nightskystitch.com and include the checkout email.
When Stripe reports that the charge has been fully refunded, the Shop revokes the entitlements for that order and revokes its links. A revoked entitlement does not download. The time a refund takes to appear on a card is set by Stripe and the card issuer, not by the Shop.
Partial refunds
If Stripe reports a refund that is not a full refund of the charge, the Shop records the order’s refund state as partial. That record does not revoke download access and does not change which files the entitlement can download. The Shop does not automatically calculate, offer, or apply a partial refund. A partial refund, if the Shop issues one, is a manual payment decision. It is not an automated change to access.
Disputes
When Stripe notifies the Shop that a dispute was created on the charge, the Shop revokes that order’s entitlements and links, in the same way as a full refund. The Shop does not automatically restore access if the dispute later closes. Disputes are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and only upheld under certain extraordinary circumstances. All sales are considered final.
